Our partner Ana Cláudia Utumi took part in the “15th Annual U.S. and Latin America Tax Practice Trends”, held by the American Bar Association (ABA), International Bar Association (IBA), and International Fiscal Association (IFA-USA) from June 14 to 16, in Miami, USA.
Ana was co-chair, alongside Seth J. Entin (Greenberg Traurig LLP, from Florida), in the Wealth Management Workshop Session. The panel called “HNW Clients: Transparency in the United States, Latin America, and Europe” discussed the latest updates and practical experiences on tax transparency and the impact of these regimes on Latin American private clients.
Speakers at the workshop included José Maurício C. Abreu (Farroco Abreu Advogados, of São Paulo), Carolina Cañón (Cañón Thompson, of Bogotá), Percy Castle, (DS Casahierro Abogados, of Lima and Corina Laudato, (Mitrani Caballero & Ruiz Moreno, of Buenos Aires).
