Our partner Ana Cláudia Utumi gave an interview to CNN Brazil about the feasibility of taxing large fortunes, one of the topics debated at the G20 summit.

Ana said that if Brazil adopts these measures unilaterally, without coordinating with other countries, it runs the risk of losing intellectual and financial capital.

“It’s something to look at very carefully, because these are important capitals that generate jobs and income for the population, situations that contribute to the economy, in a country that already has a very high tax burden,” she said.

“We’ve already had this experience in other countries, which either generated little revenue or drove entrepreneurial families out of the country, or both,” he adds.
