In an interview with the CNN Brasil Money program, our partner Ana Cláudia Utumi commented on the main changes proposed in the new tax reform and what will change this year.
“First of all, companies need to know that it’s going to get worse before it gets better, because from 2026 to 2032 we’re going to have the two systems running in parallel, so it will be necessary to implement the system changes throughout 2025,” she said.
“The Complementary Law is about to be sanctioned, after which the Tax Authorities will rush to bring in what the control systems will be. So companies will have very little time to prepare, because all these regulations will come in, I believe, by the middle of the year (…) We will need training, which should start now because what will come in additional regulations will be on top of these regulations that are about to be sanctioned by the president,” she added.
