The newspaper O Globo published an article about an event on 12 December, held in Brasilia by the newspapers Valor Econômico, O Globo and CBN, which discussed the importance of Interest on Equity for business and included the participation of our partner Ana Cláudia Utumi.
Ana spoke on panel 3, which debated the international experience. She pointed out that Brazil is one of the few countries with average corporate taxation above 30%, while in the most economically important countries corporate taxation is around 20%. The OECD average is around 21% and the world average is 23%.
Professor Heleno Torres and the former Attorney General of the National Treasury, Ricardo Soriano, made up the panel alongside Ana.
