On October 25, our partner Camila Tapias is taking part in the seminar Reflections on Tax Reform, which will take place at the IBMEC São Paulo Auditorium, from 9am to 7pm.
The seminar aims to discuss the changes in tax rules and their transformative effects on our economy.
On the same day, the book “Reflexões sobre a Reforma Tributária – Emenda Constitucional nº 132/2023” will be launched, published by Rideel and coordinated by Fernanda Nogueira.
Camila and our lawyer Ilse Salazar Andriotti are co-authors of the book. They published the article “EC 132 and the New Constitutional Tax Principles” in the book.
The book addresses the main issues brought about by the Reform, ranging from questions about the new powers to establish CBS, IBS and the Selective Tax, to issues related to non-cumulative taxation and the destination principle, as well as the basic principles that guide it: transparency, simplicity and cooperation.
It also considers the impacts on specific sectors, such as infrastructure, telecommunications, financial and capital markets, including issues relating to virtual assets.
