Na semana passada, nossa sócia Ana Claudia Utumi participou do Congresso Internacional FDRP-USP e INPET: Reforma Tributária, organizado pelo Departamento de Direito Tributário da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) de Ribeirão Preto e pelo Instituto do Noroeste Paulista de Estudos Tributários (INPET).

Ana falou durante a mesa de encerramento sobre as semelhanças e diferenças entre o IBS/CBS e o IVA adotado na Europa e na maior parte da América Latina. O painel foi presidido por Gustavo Assed Ferreira e contou com a participação de Fredy José Gomes de Albuquerque, Guilherme Adolfo dos Santos Mendes e Roberto Quiroga Mosquera.

Durante os dois dias o evento reuniu professores de renome nacional e internacional para debater sobre as alterações promovidas pela Reforma Tributária brasileira. Ao longo de 10 paineis, os convidados abordaram temas como a tributação do agronegócio e do setor imobiliário, os impactos da reforma para empresas do Simples Nacional, no Comércio Exterior e na organização e atuação da Administração Tributária e também as relações da reforma com o processo administrativo e judicial tributário e com a contabilidade.

Last week, our partner Ana Claudia Utumi took part in the FDRP-USP and INPET International Congress: Tax Reform, organised by the Department of Tax Law at the Ribeirão Preto Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Institute of Tax Studies of North-West São Paulo (INPET).

Ana spoke during the closing panel on the similarities and differences between the IBS/CBS and the VAT adopted in Europe and most of Latin America. The panel was chaired by Gustavo Assed Ferreira and featured Fredy José Gomes de Albuquerque, Guilherme Adolfo dos Santos Mendes and Roberto Quiroga Mosquera.

Over the two days, the event brought together nationally and internationally renowned professors to discuss the changes brought about by the Brazilian Tax Reform. Across 10 panels, the guests addressed topics such as the taxation of agribusiness and the property sector, the reform’s impact on companies under the Simples Nacional scheme, on foreign trade, and on the organisation and operations of the Tax Administration, as well as the reform’s relationship with administrative and judicial tax proceedings and with accounting.
