On 8 November, our partner Ana Cláudia Utumi took part in the live event ‘Taxation of Brazilian multinationals’, organised by Valor Econômico and sponsored by Banco Itaú.

On the panel, Ana and other experts debated the need to extend or not the taxation rules for Brazilian companies operating abroad, and the impacts on the international competition of Brazilian companies for the country.

‘Making sure that taxation is not an obstacle to the international expansion and competitiveness of Brazilian companies is essential,’ said Ana.

The panel was made up of Cláudia Pimentel, Mário Sérgio Teles, Pablo Cesário, Daniel Prates and Deputy Luiz Gastão. Lu Aiko and Guilherme Pimenta mediated.
